On the morning of April 9, a groundbreaking ceremony for Liyang’s 20 major projects was held in Jiangsu Zhongguancun Hi-tech Industrial Development Area.
The investments dedicated to these projects will reach 24.608 billion yuan. The investors are involved in advanced manufacturing, modern agriculture, transportation, infrastructure, and many other industries.
Among them, Delong Steel’s high-end stainless steel cold rolling project has a total investment of 10.8 billion yuan. Covering an area of about 106 hectares, the facility will be equipped with five cold rolling production lines and seven annealing and pickling lines. The first-phase project is expected to be put into production this October, with estimated 5 million tons of high-end cold rolled stainless steel coil production and 80 billion yuan in sales revenue per year.
The year of 2021 marks the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Liyang has organized four groundbreaking ceremonies for a total of 57 major projects so far this year, with investments altogether worth 56.7 billion yuan.
