The Mid-autumn festival is the second most important festival after the Spring Festival to Chinese people. It takes its name from the fact that it is always celebrated in the middle of the autumn season. Every year, when the festival comes people go home from every corner of the country and the world to meet their family and have dinner with them, admire the full moon and eat mooncakes.
2015 Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 27th. The holiday lasts from September 26th to 27th, two days in total.
