The China Association of Construction Enterprise Management has recently unveiled the results of its second round of evaluations for green construction projects. Notably, the Hohai University Changzhou Campus, specifically the Changdang Lake University Science and Technology Park Phase I project, achieved a prestigious "Three-Star" rating – the highest recognition in China's green construction domain.
The project incorporated cutting-edge green construction methods, including the integration of temporary and permanent roads, sponge technologies, and various innovative techniques. A rainwater collection system was implemented to gather and store rainwater in a dedicated pool. This harvested rainwater undergoes treatment before being repurposed for landscaping and cleaning road surfaces. Furthermore, the project embraced intelligent energy-saving devices, automatically cutting off power during periods of inactivity to minimize resource wastage.
In a bid to reduce the impact of heavy machinery on soil structures, the project adopted factory-based prefabrication techniques for material processing. This comprehensive approach not only secured the coveted "Three-Star" rating but also exemplifies a commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
