In the afternoon of July 20th, the first “Craftsmen of the Dragon City” award ceremony was held in the Dinosaur Park Theater. High ranking officials from the Changzhou Municipal People’s Government attended the ceremony and granted awards.
The first group of “Craftsmen of the Dragon City” are 10 men and women from Changzhou-based companies. And the selection was organized by the Changzhou Labor Competition Council. The selection committee put its focus on grass-root and front-line workers from sectors like advanced manufacturing, modern services and strategic emerging industries. 10 people were eventually picked out of nearly 100 candidates through a serious of procedures like qualification preview, skill display, panel review and online votes. It is hoped that these craftsmen’s stories can inspire the public to work for a better Changzhou.
